Does The Rake have any relations with The Slender Man?

Yeah when I google the Slender Man or the Rake. Both of them will show up. I don't think they are of any relation. The Slender Man is always said to be a man of some sort. Never mistaken for anything else from what I've read. As for the Rake, people say he looks more of like a hairless dog or a badly deformed person. The Slender Man has more human characteristics and the Rake has more animal characteristics. Lots of creatures out there can do the same as these guys.
